About a week ago, I mailed out two books directly from the Post Office. The other day, I received confirmation that one of them had been received, but have still not heard from the other recipient.

I know it's only been a little over a week, so I wasn't too concerned, but out of curiousity, I checked the other requestor's profile. Turns out their account is on hold. Should I be worried, or is it possible they're just on vacation or something.

What happens if their "hold" goes on for a long time. Do I get credit for the book I sent, or is it declared lost, or do I just wait until they come off hold?

I wouldn't worry about it unless hte account still shows on hold when it's about to go lost.  Then I might PM.

If it says vacation hold, that doesn't mean they aren't active. They probably just don't want to mail any books out.  My account is on vacaton hold pretty much all the time.  I really should just delete my bookshelf, donate them and come off hold. I pretty much only mail WL books at this point anyway.

Yes, I also wouldn't worry about it until it's much closer to the time the book might go lost in the system.

No need for concern yet (or much you can do about it anyway) until much closer to the 'lost' date.  Most likely the member is around or will return before that date.

I often have my account on hold.  It has NOTHING to do with me marking books received.
