Sitting on the balcony, watching the sunset, and listening to the crash of waves in Turks and Caicos...when it occurs to me that we may have missed a couple of birthdays. So armed with my iPad, I review some threads from last year to discover that, sure enough, it was Colleen's birthday last week and Linda's a couple days ago, and Jeanne's is tomorrow. So, belated birthday greetings to Colleen and Linda -- hope your days were filled with fun -- and slightly early birthday greetings to Jeanne -- hope your day is joyous. I plan to celebrate all your birthdays with a beachside daiquiri (or two).

PS:  You'll have to let us know if 70 is the new 50 - I'm headed there.

Jeanne, I hadn't tho't about 70 being the new 50, but guess perhaps it is.  I even looked back through my journals and my entry for  birthday 70 is not all that different from the entry for birthday fifty.  And, believe it or not, the whole family is already talking about how we should celebrate the big #75 next year.

And incidentally, according to the journal entry in 2010 (birthday 70) I had received two books from swap that day!
