My wife and I just joined this site and we like it very much so far, but we were quickly running out of credits.  So I answered an ad on Craigslist from a lady who had a bunch of books she needed to get rid of.  I bit off more than I can chew because now I've got about one hundred books I don't really need!  Please take a look at my bookshelf, I have about half of them listed so far.  Many of the books are of the self help variety, all in very nice condition.  I've also got some older ones without ISBNs that I have yet to figure out how to list.  Thanks!

Cool, I hope you enjoy it!  I still have at least 30 more books I need to list.

Welcome to the PBS Family!

You should become a Boxer, Peter.  It's awesome!  It enables you to trade books with others and you don't use credits, it's just a straight over trade =0) I am a HUGE FAN!

Hi and welcome to PBS.  I just ordered Nora Roberts "A Little Magic".

You sound like you are well on your way to the best ADDICTION ever.  :)

yeah, I too am addicted.  I check my local freecycle postings everyday, in hopes of finding books that people are giving away.  Since being a PBS member, I've gotten 3 boxes of books, and one girl still has 3-4 more that she is trying to get together for me. lol.  I had to buy a new bookshelf!  I do recommend the Box O Books though, I have that, and have traded a bunch of books that way already.

Good luck!

I'm a new boxer and I love it, too! I highly recommend it. I don't think we have a freecycle in my locality. How do you find out, Jennifer?

Peter, I love your nickname! Very clever!

Good luck with the books!

**Currently reading Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz and have been gathering the rest of the series from the wonderful PBS swappers here! Thanks for helping me discover new-to-me authors and titles.

I am the same way!  I just love getting books in the mail. Its like Christmas for me. I constantly watch garage sales and freecycle and craigs for books to post. I am so bad I have a list in my purse of current highly wishlisted books so that if I see them at a garage sale or thrift store I get em. At least your wife is the same way. You should see the looks I get from my husband. He doesnt get it. He just knows if I have books I dont argue over whats on tv.

Thanks everyone, the response has been pretty tremendous so far.  I'm going to be very busy at the post office for the next few days!  It just goes to show that everyone likes something different because when I looked through all these books I saw almost nothing that interested me.  I'm glad I can send them to new homes and get something for my wife or myself in return.  Personally, I think throwing away a book is a sin, or it should be.  I listed the remainder of the books earlier this evening, probably an additional 20 titles in all.

Tricia, Craigslist is an absolute goldmine here in Las Vegas.  People always mention how many people move to Vegas each month but they never say how many people LEAVE.  Many people live here for six months or so then suddenly move somewhere else.  So there's an incredible amount of garage sales here and tons of people looking to dump stuff quickly on Craigslist.  You can get some great deals if you check it regularly.
