Apparently I have offended the books gods (or the USPS at a minimum).   I had a book on my WL that gets posted to me.  Yay!  It gets accepted the following day, but then no other "activity".  It gets canceled 7 days after the request date.  The member then PMs me several days afterward, saying that she has been working overtime and could not get to the P.O. and mail the book (I guess they don't sell stamps where she lives?) and asked me to request it again and she'd mail it out  that week.  I replied that since it was a WL book, she would need to post it to me again.  Several days later, she did and guess what?  Yup, after accepting it, nothing.  It's gonna time out again tomorrow.  Sheesh!

Had another book on my WL that was posted to me.  The member waited till nearly the last minute to accept, and then waited till the very last day to mark as mailed.  Book still have not arrived and will be officially lost tomorrow.  Sucks.

*I* mailed a single paperback out back in August, along with another couple books.  They and others mailed afterward have all arrived, but this one book has not.  It will be officially lost in a few more days.

I feel your whine!

See the thread I started on "senders" not responding -- at all -- to several requests I've made over the past few weeks.

What's going on!  I also have a WL book that has rolled over to second sender, and now it looks like it hasn't been sent, supposed to be mailed by 9/9.  Oh well!  Maybe they forgot to mark it mailed.

*hugs* Dawn, good choice to direct the sender to post to your wl again.  This way everything shows on her account . . . with several time-outs she could get reviewed to have her account suspended.

Ugh. If she lets it time out again, and tries to repost it a third time, I'd definitely shoot a PM over to TPTB and let them know she's doing this. Somebody else could post the same book and you'll miss it because you're being held hostage by her.

Or could you add an RC to that request only? Something that this person would have to turn down, but that others could accept? I can't think of a good way to word it that wouldn't look odd to the next person, though.

Just checked my books I've requested, and my WL book, even though the info was printed has timed out, now rolled over to a 3rd person!  So I am sharing your whine!

Several of us are going through the same thing this past month. It seems like people joined, got their 2 free credit and then don't follow through with other requests. I also posted a heavily WL book and now it's on it's 5th person and the request expires today. So, it will probably roll over to another requestor.
