A fun and funny romance between an ex-supermodel and an undercover agent on the run who end up stranded on a yacht in the middle of the ocean. It sounds incredibly far-fetched, but Gibson makes their adventure work in this entertaining book!
Former Supermodel Lola Carlyle is in the Caribbean, hiding from the press, when the yacht she is staying on is commandeered by Black Ops Agent Max Zamora. Max's cover has been blown. He's on the run from drug dealers and doesn't need a whiny model or her wimpy dog along for the ride. But when Lola accidentally blows up the ship's engine, they are stranded at sea hoping they are found by the coast guard before the drug cartel catches up to them.
Fun, fast moving story. Both characters are likeable and the dog is great. My rating: 4 Stars.
Not my favorite from Gibson and I usually really like her stuff with the exception of a few books. I found it really boring and I didn't like Lola or Max. Lola was an idiot and Max was just a bully. I couldn't even finish it after a few chapters.
Lola Carlyle Reveals All in this funny but formulaic contemporary romance between Max Zamora, a covert government operative, and Lola Carlyle, a ditzy blond bombshell and former underwear model. The sexual attraction between this unlikely duo burns brighter than the novel's sunny, tropical setting when they are stranded together on a yacht and then on a deserted island, with Lola's annoying, pint-sized pup providing the only entertainment. While hiding out from a handful of dangerous, drug-ring thugs, their attraction comes to a head, but will it persist once their island adventure is over?
When ex-supermodel Lola Carlyle learns that some very--ahem--private photos of herself are being peddled on the Internet, she hides out where there's sun and --she thinks--saftey, until the gossip dies out. The the private yacth she's blissfully napping on it "commandeered" by some man who says his mane is Max Zamora, and that he works for the government.
It sounds crazy, but Max is telling the truth--his cover's been blown, he's on the run, and now he is confronted by a very angry--and beautiful--woman. He's seen Lola before--barely clothed on covers of fashion magazines. But she's more beautiful in person. From the top of her pert blonde head to the tips of her little painted toes. Max finds her sexy, curvy...and a pain in the butt. And that's before she blows up the ship!
This was a funny, edgy story, I enjoyed it very much.
