This is a good (not great) novel about how an impulsive action can alter an ordinary day and ultimately destroy two families. In a moment of road rage the dad makes a poor decision. He compounds the problem by lying about it. The mom takes an extreme course of action to protect her family (really her assets). Things get worse from there. Makes you wonder what you would do.
