I got a book from the library as a kid, in the early sixties. It was a book of short stories by several authors. As I remember it, the title was The Faun, taken from the title of the 1st story. In case I disremember that, the 1st story was about a girl who encounters a faun outside her home. They fall in love. He gives her a ring made from his hair; when she puts it on, it becomes invisible. It has a wonderfully pagan type ending, in which she kicks off her clothes & runs off with him. I'll never forget it, but alas, didn't note the author's name & have never found it again. Help! |

Hi Ann, I did a quick search and found two possible titles: The Faun's Girl, by Horatio Colony The Girl and the Faun, by Eden Phillpotts. These are older books, so I didn't see a description of the plot, but perhaps this is a place to start. Good luck! |
