considered a classic. i read this for a class. it left me cold. probably because the book deals with the coldness of exile from family and childhood milieu. i felt the world-building was a bit thin. interesting ideas. if you're looking for some brain building, i'd take this over just about any of this seasons lit fic.

Well written, quickly read story, however, it touches you in the shared experience of the memories of childhood and how we all look back with adult eyes. A mire 135 pages to swirl around in before diving into that 300+ book, so why not!
