It was the "different war", the one America couldn't agree on---and can't forget.

Here is the first "emotional history" of the Vietnam war, told by the generation that was asked to fight it.

Over 500 stunningly candid interviews. We hear from those who went and those who stayed home.

They wree soldiers and protestors, officers and "grunts", black and whites, guilty and proud. Read it for the first time in their own voices.
