i got this book from this list and i absolutely loved it. it's one of my favorites. when i was finished i really wanted to just begin the book again. i really like mitchell's writing. it is very descriptive, but never boring. just enough history and background information. each year this small group of men would hire a scottish guide and take the easter season to travel a section of the highlands until they finally reached the northernmost part - muckle flugga. the copy of the book listed here is not mine - i won't give mine up!
