I used to have/read a lot of books of a female author who wrote light hearted stories, I think they were not always romances, about women living on rual farms in Australia, contemporary, not historical. I seem to remember also one story where a young woman inherited a bed&breakfast in a small town in Australia. These books must have been published in the 70s, give or take a few years. The books were all very similar. Funny, clean, easy going. I hope that I would recall the name of the author if I could see it. She had at least 10+ books published. Now, I read these books in Germany, which might be the reason why I can not find them here. I am sure that the author was not German, though, but her books were translated. If anybody has any suggestions - please shoot me some names! :-) |

Australian author, rural Australia, clean, 70's, contemporary. The only one I can think of that fits would be Lucy Walker. All of her books that I read were romances. She also wrote under the names Shelley Dean and Dorothy Lucy Sanders but I don't know what those books were about. Her real name was Dorothy McClemans but I don't think she ever wrote under that name, though I'm not sure about that. |
