Topic: Looking for a book/author about a RV roadtrip

Hope you all can help me . . . I'm looking for a book title and/or author . . . The book is by a gentleman, who I'm sure is a reporter or some sort of news person, who takes his family including his father and mother on a road trip in a RV. This book is all about the trip. I really want to read it and I can't for the life of me remember the title or the author. HELP! |

Is it Charles Kuralt? He was a reporter for CBS and used to do travel shows and write books about it. I don't know if he took his mother and father with him though.
