I'm trying to remember the title to a historical romance book I read several years ago. I think it might have been published by Harlequin Historical. The story is about a man that was born in the slums of London, he becomes very rich. The heroine is a writer, she travels around writing travel guides. For some reason, can't remember why, she owns this man a debt and so they marry. I do remember that there was a scene about a horrible train accident. And the heroine tries to rescue some kids from a work house. Not much to go on but any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!! |

I read this book! She doesn't really owe him the debt it was her late father. He might have been a scam artist or something and it had something to do with shares in the railroad. The hero makes her marry him for a time frame because as her husband he can have control over her shares and save hte company or something like that. And of course htey fall in love. Ugh I can't remember the title. |
