Topic: Looking for Deals on following

These are our books for the year in my local book club. I have tried to trade once but still have recieved no reply for that box. I am a boxer so am willing to trade, would like 2 for 1 deals if possible. I think one or two of these are wishlisted so I'm not expecting to get them in a deal. I just figured I would put this up and see what I could get March: Secret Life of Bees, by Sue Monk Kidd (recieving)
April: The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald
May: The Faith Club, by Ranya Idliby, Suzanne Oliver, and Priscilla Warner
June: The Angle of Repose, by Wallace Stegner
July: Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, by Lisa See (recieving)
August: The Pillars of the Earth, by Ken Follett (This one is 976 pages, folks, so start early!)
September: March, by Geraldine Brooks
October: The World is Flat, by Thomas Friedman (This one is 672 pages, too, so look ahead. Also, there are two editions, the most recent one which has an additional 100 pages of expamded and revised material. I am thinking this is the 672 page one. We should maybe decide that we'll all read the same one, for the purpose of our discussion. I'd probably like to read the newest edition.)
November: TBA
December: Gift from the Sea, by Anne Morrow Lindbergh (I added this for Dec, since we mentioned we'd like to read it, it's a great book, and it's short, and perfect for the busy time of year!)

I have Snow Flower and the Secret Fan and The Secret Life of Bees and will give them to you 2/1 if you want. FYI, they're both within posting guidelines but Snow Flower has a tiny tear in the front cover that is taped with scotch tape (I received it this way). PM me if you're interested. Thanks! |
