My mother has charged me with the task of finding her new reading material. To sum up her taste in this genre... Mary Higgins Clark. Any recommendations? |

Hmmm....it's been awhile since I read any MHC. Has she tried her daughter, Carol Higgins Clark's books? |

She might like Sue Grafton's Alphabet series books and Michael Connelly's books. |

I was about to post the same question. I'm looking for something for my grandma and she LOVES MHC. She also really likes Danielle Steele so maybe your mom will like her too. |

She might to try Janet Evanovich, or Alexander McCall Smith. I second the Sue Grafton suggestion. I find this website helpful when looking for similar authors www.literature-map.com

It's going back a bit, but she might like Phyllis Whitney. It's been awhile since I've read them, but she tells a good story! |

Mary Stewart's gothic romantic suspense books might be an option. |

Did she tell you why she likes MHC? My MIL LOVES MHC because there is no sex in her books, which also means she doesnt like many modern authors or Carol Higgins Clark. If this is the case with your mom you will want to avoid Sue Grafton (if I remember correctly) and Janet Evanovich. |

hello!
Why not try Frederick Forsythe? I have both Icon and Avenger in my bookshelf. Check them out ;-)

I too enjoy MHC. I have found that I absolutly love Lisa Jackson's series. She has several series as well as individual books. Also J D Robb's (Nora Roberts writing as J D Robb) in death series is up to 35 books in the series and I believe more are coming. |

I think Sandra Brown is similar to MHC. |
