Weightwatchers.com has a message board..when you open the site in the upper right it says 'community' then clicke 'message boards' and scroll through the posts..there's usually a daily crockpot or slowcooker thread with recipes. The message boards are available to everyone.ETA- forgot after you go to message boards go down to the 'recipe review' forum then scroll through looking for crockpot or slowcooker. fix it and forget it has a healthier cookbook joanna lund has some cookbooks for the crockpot I think cooking light has some. I don't use my crockpot as much as I'd like..mainly because I work 12 hr shifts and most foods can't cook 13 hours plus my 2 big dogs would help themselves I'm afraid. I use it mostly when I'm off for a night following a night shift and I usually do chili in it using very lean ground beef. the recipe I use is on topsecretrecipes.com under wendy's chili but sub a can or two of rotel for the fresh tomatoes and chilis and use pintos with jalapenos and double the seasonings. I did a crockpot rotisserie chicken in it as well that turned out good and smelled awesome. (that recipe can be found on theweight watchers site as well - just search crockpot rotisserie chicken. aimeesadventures.com has some crockpot recipes too seems like. I have a collection of crockery cookbooks but the only one that has a healthy slant to it is Smart Crockery Cooking by Carol Heding Munson. The tag line is Low-Fat Healthy Cooking. The recipes sound good and don't call for cream of something soups like lots of crockpot books do. It features soups, stews, main dishes and even dessert. The recipes aren't far out and seem like things families would really eat. |

You could look on www.allrecipes.com and www.bettycrocker.com . I don't know if they'd have healthy recipes, but the recipes do have nutritional info on betty crocker. I'm not sure if allrecipes does. |

I just posted one called "The Unwatched Pot"... good luck cookin'! ~ Yes, I know my icon (for now!) has donuts all over her, and I should not be talking about low fat. Sigh. Last Edited on: 12/9/08 7:04 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Jessica's Biscuit is a web site that specializes in cookbooks of all types. I look for what I want there and put it on my lists here. I have gotten 7 cookbooks this way from other members.
