A woman in Mississippi who is married to a politician who has a baby, which turns out to be mixed. She never cheated on her husband, he leaves her and the book continues to go on to explain how the baby came to be. I read a book years ago about a woman who found out that her former boyfriend had switched her baby at birth due to an inheirited disease - and it seems there was another race involved, and her politician husband turned out to be a member of the KKK. Is this the same book? I don't remember what it was called though.

It also kind of sounds like Family Tree by Barbara Delinsky, but that just came out within the past year.

Possibly Emilie Richards Iron Lace?  I recall it having a similar story line, but it's been a long time.

No MiMi M, in the book I read, this will sound crazy, but the lady's husband had slept with a woman who had slept with another man before he got there. He somehow managed to get the other guys "dna" and that was how he got his wife pregnanat with another mans baby.

The one you mentioned sounds good though!
