I've already read everything by Terri Blackstock, Brandilyn Collins, Colleen Coble, Mindy Starns Clark, and Karen Young. Can anybody recommend any other Christian suspense/mystery authors? |

Dee Henderson did the O'Malley series which is pretty good. Only thing is she hasn't written anything in about 10 years. Not sure what happened. She also wrote a couple other books that are good. Lois Richer did a full size series(as opposed to her Love Inspired books) that was an okay mystery. Had some romance as well but the mystery was okay. Julie Cave is a relatively new author that did a set of three. They are somewhat mystery but they are good. Mark Bertrand has written two cop type books. Not sure if they are what you would call suspense or anything but I enjoyed them. Lynette Eason has a set of three suspense books that I liked. She also does Love Inspired suspense but the full size ones are better. They are somewhat romance but good suspense in them. Do you like military type books? I enjoy those and there are some good authors for those as well. Let me know and I can give you some authors. |

A couple of other good Christian suspense authors: James Pence Paul McCusker Irene Hannon (these are romance, but I think they are mystery too) Steven James (although I've never read his yet . . . I have too many books and haven't gotten to his yet!) :-D LOL!
My ultimate mystery favorites are Terri Blackstock, Brandilyn Collins, Tim Downs, and James Pence. |

I have read all of the Steven James mystery series, Patrick Bowers. Compared to all of the authors listed above, I would say they are a little more hard core mystery. A little more graphic in description as to murder victims. Love Tim Downs Bug Man Series. I've also read the Lynette Eason series and enjoyed them. Debbie Viguie has the Psalm 23 Murder series which is good. There are 3 out and she has already said on FB that the 4th is going to be strictly E-book. Mel Odom wrote a NCIS series which is really good. Nothing to do with the TV show. Richard Mabry has a medical series that is pretty good. Candace Calvert is another medical suspense author. Other authors: Lis Wiehl Vicki Hinze Shawn Grady |

I just discovered Lynette Eason. I just finished "When the Smoke Clears". It was so good. I stayed up late in the night because it was that good! Something was happening to the main character in every chapter. I didn't even suspect who the murderer was until the last chapter.

That's funny:) My mother did the same thing except she read it while she was traveling. Took it on an overnight trip and didn't think she would need another book. She calls me that evening and said she finished it already:) "Just had to finish it without putting it down" was her exact quote. If you haven't read her Women of Justice series I would suggest finding them. They are really good and one of the women from there is mentioned in When the Smoke Clears. Excellent books! |

One subject of this book is based on fact, "The Roe Versus Wade" case, the other subject of the book is fiction in that the heroine, Jada was a child born of rape and after becoming an adult, the truth of her existince was not clear, but due to influences of a hooded man with pewter colored eyes appearing at odd times and dreams of Angels telling her to save God's flowers the plot thickens and many people and mysterious events are woven into a final act that impacts many lives.
The Day God Cried is a fiction novel published to portray how God felt the day abortion for any reason was made legal. The novel is a modern day story of how a thread of seemingly unrelated events orchestrated by a majestic archangel bring a group of unlikely people together to battle a psychopath and confront a common past that will shake them to the core and make them question everything they believe. Exerpt from first chapter: "The angels fell down and wept at the feet of the Christ, and the heavens stood still even as rain fell upon the earth in great torrents. It was a futile attempt to wash away the stain of that resounding, impausible moment. And as she watched a great and dark shadow began to move across the field..........."
I hope you will consider reading it. It's available on Kindle. It is written by Sandra Hope of Virginia and unusual events brought about the writing of this book.
