I am looking to complete my paperback Stephen King collection, the trick being that I'm looking the original covers.  I am missing a few early books, but it's hard to tell what the cover looks like on a lot of posted books here.

If anyone has one of these books let me know:

Carrie (1975), 'Salem's Lot (1975), Rage (1977), The Shining (1977), Night Shift (1978), The Stand (1978), The Long Walk (1979), The Running Man (1982), Christine (1983)

Thanks,

Mike

That's a pretty tall order, since covers do not have to match the art image listed. You will have to PM every person that you order a book from and then you might get someone that doesn't respond to their PMs, and just sends it out.

I would also say that this is probably a topic for the Book Bazaar forum, rather than the Questions About PBS.

Do you know what the cover of that edition of The Shining looks like?  I have an old edition and the cover is nothing like the newer one I just got through PBS, but I don't know off hand what year.  I was going to "set it free" with a book crossing number, but if you are interested, send me a PM.  I'd certainly make it free with a request.

(sent you a PM)  I also have an older copy of The Shining - not sure of the date, as I'm not at home at the monent. But the cover is a shiny silver color and there is a small square picture (of the little boy?) in the top center of the cover.  My account is on vac. hold at the moment, but I'd be happy to take it off hold so you can order it, if you want it.  (Note that the cover image on my PBS bookshelf doesn't match the cover on the actual book.)

I have Carrie in paperback. It's fairly old, and the pages have tanned. The copyright page says copyright 1974, Cover artwork 1988. It's black with red squiggly lines and some white lines on the front. I don't think this is the version you are looking for though.
