I'm the mood to read a good scary story that takes place in a country setting, away from town, maybe on a farm or in a forest. With witches or folklore, ghosts, that kind of thing ( not really looking for vampire ).  Something kind of like Pet Semetary, Little Brothers, The Pines, etc. Any suggestions?  Thanks!

Try Neighbors by Maureen Pusti.  It is a country setting dealing with witches.

When Kristen Roberts and her husband moved to a guiet Pennsylvania college town, she had a feeling that doom awaited them. But with the excitement of moving and the annoying intrusions of an elderly neighbor woman, Kris forgot her premonition of dager - until she read that several local children had mysteriously disappeared.
Soon the missing children haunted Kris's dreams. For the danger Kris had sensed was real...the woman next door was more than a nosey neighbor...Kris's happy marriage was about to be destroyed..and at any moment an unimaginable evil could crush her world and her life.

Sure Bob, give her an easy one to track down. ;)

Brenda, you might like The Harvest or The Manor, both by Scott Nicholson.

Try When the Wind Blows by Dean Koontz or the same title by John Saul. Both are country setting books and both are good.

The Woman in Black by Susan Hill is a great, creepy, old-fashioned ghost story.
