Hey everyone I would love your help. I love the Harry Potter books and also Gregory Maguire's Wicked series. Besides these books I have never read any fantasy(I suppose thats the right category?) Do you know of any other book or book series along the same lines? I would love your help. Thanks:)

I haven't read them but I have heard that James Clemens' Banned and Banished series is good.  He is actually James Rollins writing under a different name.

One of my favorite series is by Terry Goodkind.  A little darker fantasy author is Garth Nix.  I have never found books along HP lines, and I haven't read Wicked, so that's all the help I can offer.

Septimus Heap books by Angie Sage not as good as Harry Potter but they are ok. I like Terry Brooks he has some good books The Magic Kingdom Of Landover Series, The Word and the Void series and The Sword of Shannara series. You need to go to the Fantasy forum I'm sure they have some great ides for books to read there.

I LOVE Tailchaser's Song by Tad Williams.  It's about intelligent cats that are on a quest to find others who are missing.  I loved it in high school, just finished it again, and loved it even more.  (And I'm not a "fantasy person"...Harry Potter and Wicked are about all I've read in the genre.)

You might like the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer. They are young adult, quick easy reads but good stories.

The Belgariad by David Eddings is a favourite fantasy series of mine.

Pawn of Prophecy is the first book in the series.
