Hi, I'm new here and in the midst of a nostalgia kick for the 70s/80s Harlequins that I read as a teenager. I've been trying to collect some of my favorites and bought a few box lots on ebay before finding this site. OK, so I bought 300+ vintage Harlequins to get hold of about 30 of them, but it was fun to see the other half's face when he saw one box that was delivered with 150 HQs in it. :-) I'm looking for PBSs of like mind and/or who are willing to swap or use Box-o-Books these vintage HQs. I haven't put many of mine up yet, but I'll be doing so as I get a time throughout Jan. Take a look at my wish list to see a few I'm looking for - and tell me your hard-to-find fav; I might have it! Marilyn S.

Welcome Marilyn!

I don't think you're allowed to sell books to someone else via PBS, the site is to swap books.  Sounds like box-o-books would be your best bet, that way you can swap large numbers of books for someone else's books without spending credits.  It doesn't have to be an even book-for-book trade, it's whatever you and the other person could work out.

Or, you can use the Book Bazaar forum to offer deals on your books.  Post books to your bookshelf and then post in the Book Bazaar that you're offering 3 books for 1 credit or 4 books for 1 credit, etc.  Basically whatever deal you want to.

You can also add your deal info to your signature line so any post you make on the PBS Discussion boards will show your deal.  Separate deal posts aren't allowed on any forum but the Book Bazaar though.

Yes, Welcome!

I second what Sarah had to say, also look at what you have and see if it's on any wish lists. Lots of OOP Silhoutte/Harlequin books by authors like Mary Balogh or Anne Stuart are wishlisted. And do try your offer in the Book Bazzar, that's the place for any deals you might want to work, or you can add a note to your signature line that will show when you post.

I think you need to research some and see if they are WL or not. I had several from the 80's that I got on ebay that were WL on here.  If they have ISBN#'s you can add them to your TBR list and it'll tell you if they are WL or not.  If they don't have an ISBN you can search by title and see if they are WL.  I know I have Elfking's Lady by Hannah Howell. My version has no ISBN. It's a WL book.  I haven't read it yet. If I decide to post it, I'll advertise it on here and on Book Bazaar so someone who has it on WL can order it from me.  If you put them on your shelf-any that have an ISBN and are WL will automatically be offered to someone. Personally I would check them out first to see if any are WL before I post them.

Like another poster said you can't sell books here. So BOB might be a good option for you.

Book Bazaar or Box o Books is going to be your best bet.

I have a lot of mid to late 80s romance on my shelf. I'm not really interested in getting more but I would love to make a deal with you if there are any of mine that you would like.

Let me know if you decide to join the Box of Books.  I would like to make an offer when you do.

I'm now a Boxer for anyone interested in dealing! I don't have all my books posted, so if you are looking for something in particular and don't see it, PM me and I'll check what I have.

Marilyn, take a look at my shelf, if there is anything you would like, I'll make you a heck of a deal.
