I had surgery on Nov. 7 (endometrial ablation). It involved burning the lining of my uterus. The end result is to stop completely or control excessive bleeding.

I haven't had one episode of bleeding, not even a little bit, since then!

After my recent checkup my doctor said I should never have to worry about that again. My uterus is completely healed but it is lined with scar tissue and I shouldn't have another period ever again.

After what I've been through the past year and a half I am so happy to not have to deal with agonizing cramps, weeks, months of bleeding at a time and PMS.

And DH is thrilled with the results also! (hehehehe)

And it beats having to have a hysterectomy.

And I'm so confident I'll never need pads or tampons again that I sent all of my unopened packages of them to my DD along with her Christmas package. She was very grateful to get them. She won't have to buy "supplies" for a few months.

Yay for new technology!!!
