I'll enter by saying a long, long time ago I read a romance novel called THE FLAME AND THE FLOWER. by Kathleen Woodiwiss. Eventhough it had a rape scene at the start, I couldn't put it down. It's still on my keeper shelf today because it was my first.

The first romance book I read many years ago was "Shanna" by Kathleen Woodiwiss.  I have read many romance authors since then and would love to win Lora Leigh's Brand new book "Maverick".

My daughter's name is "Lora" spelled the same way.  Not many spell it that way.

The first romance book I read was also Shanna by Kathleen Woodiwiss.  I found it in my mom's stash while cleaning out my parents basement years ago.  I still have it even though it's falling apart, and still re-read it occasionally.

I just recently discovered Lora Leigh and she very quickly became one of my favorite authors.  I'm hoping to eventually get as many of her books as I can so I can catch up on what I've missed.

the first romance that I remember reading was Curse of the Clan by Barbara Cartland! that's all my mom would 'allow' though I soon began sneaking her harlequins and spicier stuff and of course had to buy her romance books for all the  holidays and read them before I wrapped them! :-)

I like a lot of different types of romances though contemporary is probably my most read followed by paranormal that's light/funny/romantic. The first erotic romance I remember reading is Ellora's Cave White Hot Holidays either vol 2 or 3..think it was 3..then I got into Lisa Marie Rice, Jory Strong, Lena Matthews, Sarah McCarty, and of course Lora Leigh.

Oh me!  I saw this book today at the store.  Almost bought it but then I reminded myself that I'll eventually get it off of WL (I'm somewhere in the middle) and I have lots of other books to read in the meantime.  But if it were to come my way, I wouldn't say no!

My first was a Cartland too! Something about a gypsy and a lord.

I haven't read a lot of Leigh but my favorite is Dawn's Awakening.

Thanks for having a contest! Livens things up around here. ;-)

I love Lora Leigh.

I started reading romances in jr. high.  I read tons of the Barbara Cortland (remember that great picture?)  I then found the white Harlequins, needless to say, I've moved on.  I finished Death Angel last night - another fabulous book by Linda Howard.

This is a great Idea, I love lora leigh books .if fact im playing a game in the games  right now .Its called something like...ALL Lora leigh books. and you guessed it. all books in that game have to be her books.

She is one of my favorite steamy writers, I love the Seals series, the Men of August and alot of her others. The only ones I dont read is The Breeds.I just havent found a paranormal that interests me . YET...

Just got "real men do it better, "and I skipped right to the L.L story

I cant remember my first romance book that I read at the moment, but I read historical, contemporary  erotica, whatever as long as its romance.

I'd like to enter this.  But I won't win.  I've never won anything ever.  :)  The first romance I can recall reading was Always by Lynsay Sands (I think I'm a bit younger than most around here).  I've read a few Lora Leigh books, the Nauti series comes to mind.

Put me in. I literally just finished her Coyote's Mate a few minutes ago... MMMM I know I was reading Lucy Walker romances about Australia in 6th grade -- A girlfriend and I swapped books. Definitely The Flame and the Flower and the Wolf and the Dove.  Rosemary Rogers, Emily Loring and Barbara Cartland were also early authors I read - And Grace Livingston Hill

Thanks for posting and letting myself and everyone on PBSwap in on the fun. I'd definitely like to be entered to win.

My first romance? Well I was all into sci-fi/fantasy books at first until I picked up Catherine Coulter's Warrior's Song thinking it was a fantasy book from the title. I had been in a hurry choosing it at a train station shop but that was for the best because I really enjoyed the book and it started me into reading more romances.

Please enter me too, I love her Breeds series.

Don't remember if it was the first romance I have ever read but I do know that I used to read Kathleen Woodiwiss way back when.
