This was a fast paced tale about a city isolated within an unforgiving and dangerous forest. The characters are likable and not annoyingly perfect. In their quest to find a murderer loose in the city and learn the history of the main character, you will travel through wilderness and tombs.
This stand alone fantasy story captured my interest from the first page and maintained it all the way through.
