In my opinion, this book is not one of Hunter's best. It's o.k., but after having read The Seducer, The Saint, The Charmer, and The Sinner perhaps I expected too much.

Interesting twist on the usual medieval romance- Ian of Guilford is all set to wait out the seige of Black Lyne Keep when a seduction is attempted by the lovely widow, Lady Reyna Graham. Turns out she's not much of an actress, and he's way too studly.

book 3 in Madeline's 2nd trilogy. The 6 books are linked by the charactor David de Abyndon who is introduced as a young boy in By Design, is a secondary charactor in Stealing Heaven and the male lead in By Arrangement. This is Ian's story. I really enjoyed this book. Ian was sexy and smart and Reyna is a joy. It was nice that for once I didn't figure out the mystery's well before the revele. It was nice to see Morvan, Anna, David and Christina again. I recomend anything by this author.

From the back of the book- Called the Lord of a Thousand Nights, Ian of Guilford was famed as much for his feats in the bedroom as on the battlefield. But Lady Reyna Graham had no idea of this when, disguised as a courtesan, she passed behind enemy lines with a desperate plan to save her people. Now, sitting in the tent of the dizzyingly handsome warrior who commanded the army outside her gates, the beautiful widow suddenly realized that she had underestimated her foe. For she found herself in the company of a man whose charms were said to be impossible to resist...and who shows no mercy in laying siege to her heart--and body--with every sensual weapon in his arsenal. For the sake of her people, she must not give in...and she must somehow turn this legendary lover who never lost his heart into a man who would exchange all his thousand nights for one with her...
