I was wondering when Chestnut Valley Farm was going to be released since everywhere I look lists it as supposed to have come out in March. I emailed Harvest House and they say she is on sabbatical and the book won't be out until March of 2011! I'm disappointed, but I also hope everything is okay with Lori.

I was wondering if anyone here had heard more about it. I can't find if she has a blog or website apart from Harvest House's page for her books.

yeah lori wick is one of those weird big Christian fiction authors who doesn't have a website, or anything to interact directly with their readers. it's like they think their books are going to sell regardless so why do marketing? it's actually quite annoying, in times like this for example

It also could be that she just likes her privacy :-)

It seems like most of the authors have websites, blogs, etc. these days, even lesser-known authors. Lori Wick may just want her privacy, as Christa said, or maybe she doesn't want the bother of blogging or updating a website. She seems the opposite of authors such as Karen Kingsbury, whose website has lots of information about new books, speaking engagements, etc.

That's true. There are authors like Janette Oke, though, who have a website but don't spend a lot of time updating it. I think someone else updates it for her anyway. So Lori could do the same.

I just thought it was weird that nothing about Lori being on sabbatical was said in connection with the delayed release of her newest book. At least I can't find anything that even alerted readers that there would be a delay in publication. They didn't even have to say why. That's why I posted on here, to see if maybe it was just my poor detective skills. ;)
