I've almost always let PBS do it's thing. It's so well set up but recently I started reading these messages and it got me to wondering. I ordered a book. It was sent, it's never shown up. I let PBS make it lost and in a few days I will re-order. I think this is one of those cases where the sender will get his/her credit because they used DC and all that. Now here's my question, should I have PM'd her and let her I really didn't get the book? Or just let the system handle it. susan/vt |

PBS suggest you wait at least 2 wks before reordering a lost book incase it shows up. It wouldn't hurt to PM them and ask if it got mailed late or came back for some reason and was remailed. If she used DC she can run the number through the PO website and see where the book was last if it was ever scanned. With the storms and flooding in Texas, the South and the Midwest it could just be held up somewhere. |

I know that the book left CA but that's the only time it was scanned. I also know PBS suggests waiting 2 weeks. I really wanted to get this book in PB for a disabled friend. I would rather end up with 2 than keep this lovely woman waiting any longer for book 2 in the series. I just wondered if it the polite thing to do was to PM the sender and assure her that I didn't receive it. I suppose since she got her credit she may not care. susan/vt |

Thank you. I guess I'll just let it be. The sender has her credit. I can wait a few more days or not and ask for another copy. |
