I have never had this happen to me before on the site, and I have not got the hang of searching the forums efficiently enough to not spend hours doing it, so I thought I'd ask anyway.  Forgive me if this has been covered before, but what do I do when the post office delivers an empty envelope/mailer with no books inside?

I just received an "unbook" today from some nice swapper who intended to send me a book but the adhesive on the closure did not stick and the book escaped its confines.  The label on the mailer has a stamp from the post office that states "received unsealed" and there was a card with a note from my mail carrier that if I wanted to refuse the "unbook" to just write refused on the package and put it back in the mailbox.  Is that the best way to handle this?  Any ideas?

So you just received the wrapper, no book?  This occasionally happens.  Do NOT mark the book as received.  Instead, pm the sender and let them know.  There is suppose to be a form that you can submit to the post office to try and get your book back with, but the sender needs to fill it out.  Once you let the sender know there is a problem, you really don't do anything.  The book will end up going Lost.  You will get your credit back and, if it's a wishlist book, you will be put back at the beginning of the line.  If the book ever actually arrives, go to your transaction page and mark it received from there.

Sorry you have to deal with this.

"You will get your credit back and, if it's a wishlist book, you will be put back at the beginning of the line. "

Please note that you will be put back in the place where you were when the book was offered to you and that does not necessarily mean you will be at the #1 spot...there are various factors that could put you further back in the line...say like 2nd or 3rd...
