Thursday Next is forced by Goliath to rescue Jack Schitt---something she has to gain a new skill to do. Under the tutelage of Ms Havisham, Thursday learns to bookjump without Uncle Mycroft's Prose Portal. The imagination of Jasper Fforde is remarkable; the parallel universe he creates contains neanderthals, dodos, and amazing transportation devices. Truly an entertaining series!!!
