I've just been notified that a book I ordered was lost in the mail. This is the third book that has been lost. I never received the previous two. I'm worried that this will affect my account. I've traded over 100 books, I think, so three lost doesnt seem like a huge deal...have any of you had account issues because of books not received? Has Paperbackswap suspended you or anything for it? And how many books were lost before this happened?

I'm definitely getting worried about this, as there is nothing wrong with my posted address.

I don't think it affects your account at all.  You simply get your credits back.

if they use PBS postage you will still get your credit back if you  never receive the book, they will just get a credit as well so you wouldn't be out a credit.

and don't worry about books going lost that you are receiving vs sending, that doesn't go against you (receiving)

I think it would only go against you if it happened time and time again (which could raise a question about whether you're properly marking books received).  No need to worry about the occasional book going lost!  But I'm sorry that's happened to you.  I have two enroute to me at the moment (in the same package) that I am afraid are about to go lost.

Something that made me feel better about my many lost books (I have quite a few) was looking up the account to see if they were still members. For several of them I figured out they were either inactive or no longer members which led me to believe they were never mailed in the first place. Id say about 1/2 of the books that went lost in my account were ordered from people who ware no longer members.

I understand what you mean OP.  I've got two books now that are "en route" to me and I've gotten emails from PBS asking if I have received them.  I haven't and hate having to wait a certain amount of time before it goes "lost" in the system if the senders have not mailed it in the first place. Maybe it is just me, but I always feel bad if I don't go out and mail the book right away.

yes.. I am waiting on a book that was marked mailed on the 2nd.  I have never waited so long and I am worried.  I have gotten one 'did you get the book?' email from PBS and I realize no action will occur til the 30th.   But I really wanted this book and it ain't looking good!
