i am totally lost on wish list books and would greatly appreciate it if someone could explain this to me.  when i go to search for wish listed books that people are looking for, i write down a few then when i find them i will post them and i check first to see if the book is still on the wish list , so i go and post it but the book never comes up on my page that someone wants it from me. could it be that my book has a different ibn # and if so , how do i let people know that want this book that i have a copy, that is a perfectly good book just not the same #???

thanks for the help

First, check that it is NOT the audio or Large Print that is Wish Listed.   Those versions usually stay WL much longer than the other versions.

Post your book with the ISBN number.  If another version is WL, then I go and add a tag to the WL version.  Something like "also under ISBN XXX".  That will get the next person to your version.   Remember that some folks do want a specific version.  To match the set on the shelf, to have larger type, to be easier to hold.  Whatever.

Then under the BB there is a thread about WL books with different numbers.

January list

ETA  You can put your version on your reminder list.  That will tell you how many copies are posted in the system.

A different ISBN is the most likely reason it doesn't come up.  However, PBS does send emails to people to tell them that a different version of the book has been posted.  The poster never knows that this has been sent though and if the wishlister doesn't want the different version, they don't have to do anything.

you need to pay attention to binding as well.  A mass market paperback can be heavily posted but the same book can be WL in hardcover, large print or audio.  Those people want that specific version.
