Father Andrew Greeley opens up and shares his almost daily prayer journal with his readers. A very poignant look at one mans faith and love of God and how he communicates with God to help him get through his daily life from September 1990 through September 1991.

Through his communications with God, we get a different perspective of Father Greeley and see that he still struggles with how he handled things in the past and sometimes wishes things were different, but then sees the good that has come from going down the path God led him.

The book closes with Father Greeleys article, How Just a War?, reprinted from The Critic magazine. This article points out his feelings about the Persian Gulf War (which occurred during the writing of this journal.)
