My resolution is to show my appreciation to everyone who I love.   I will try VERY hard not to take my loved ones for granted.   I have lost my Mother very swiftly and didn't have a chance to tell her how much I loved her and I don't want that to happen again.

I would also love to quit liking junk food-----------this way I could actually loose weight!!

I BELIEVE you can & will accomplish all your goals. My husband & I are junk food lovers, too. We decided to just stop eating so much (easier than stopping liking it) - now we only eat 2 cookies instead of 5, or 1/2 cup of snack mix instead of a whole cup. 2 Tamales instead of 4. We have already lost 3 pounds each since 1/1/9... I was just shooting for a pound or 2 a week. I hope we can all maintain the regimens we set for ourselves.

I agree with your resolutions, I also am addicted to sugar and want to eat less sweets, But my main goal is really to read more books this year and to treat people with love even when they hurt me, this is hard to do but if I succeed in this I WILL HAVE TRULY BECOME A BETTER PERSON. PEACE AND LOVE TO ALL THIS YEAR!!!

Sad to have lost you Mother.  My Mother is fading away daily.  I am resolved to spend more time with her in 2009, as it is to spend more time with Children and Grandchildren...   I think I better put my apron back on and do a bit more of the family gatherings from my home.  Well we all could lose weight, gain weight, lose weight.   but we can't get back our family members after they are gone.  I am resolving to share more with my family and loved ones.  Thank heaven for life-long friendships.. they understand and genuinely care as much as I do about our past and future.  Have a healthy potluck...   that will serve more than one purpose...     Family First.   Joyce
