Hello! I started a post asking for book recommendations with wounded/scarred heros and this book was recommended by several people.... I just had to start a new post to say thank you for the recommendation and ask a new question for those of you that are familiar with her other books. This was such a FUN story...it was a light read and it was humorous. I haven't read many of the "lord and ladies" type books but if this is what they are like I may have a new favorite genre. There is humor throughout, but oh my, when the mean old stepmom tells her what the marriage bed will be like, and then she is trying to avoid it, I was practically on the floor....my poor husband was like "What in the world is wrong with you!" I couldn't even read I was crying so much!!!! I LOVE books with humor. It was a very sweet story and a very light read....I can definitely recommend it. I'm wanting to know if her other books are like this also? Is this typical for her style of writing? I'd love to know! Melissa B.

Yes, I think most of Lynsay Sands' stuff is light and funny. I haven't been into historicals much lately so I've only read one (The Key -- and it definitely fell into that category!), but my sister's pretty hooked on them for just that reason! Sands has a vampire/paranormal that falls on the light & funny/sweet side of vampire stuff too. |
