This is a beautifully illustrated book with only a little text on each page (most pages 6 to 12 words) so it's suitable for young children. It's light hearted and charming. One of the gifts that the grandmother sends to the child put me off: there's an ivory elephant from India. Elephants are plundered for ivory and the US has for many years forbidden the import of ivory. If you're up to explain that it was a plastic elephant and it was the color of ivory, or if you're not concerned about this matter, you'll like the book a lot.
