This book was highly recommended and I was sorta wondering 'why?' when I first started it. The heroine seemed sorta cold..I didn't care for how she just left town and her bad boy 'love' and hadn't been back but after reading it she grew on me and her explanation at the end about how she feels about Christmas is exactly how I feel! And I better understood why she left her 'bad boy' and also realized she was pretty young at the time! overall a good book and I plan on reading 'not another new year's' which I think is sort of a sequel but about the hero's friend, Tanner. There were also some cute scenes mentioned throughout!

Always love Christie Ridgeway and this is a good book. Cute and heartfelt. Look for the next book about these townfolks. Not Another New Year.

A typical Ridgway book. Light and funny romance. Although, this was not her best.

Cute story about Bailey (yes as in George) Sullivan, a woman who hates Christmas, but must come back home to run the family Christmas themed store. While there she is reaquainted with Finn, her high school sweetheart, which she ran from without any explanation.

The book was predictable as most books like this are, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it all. It was so good I read it in two days. I couldn't' put it down. I saved it for right before Christmas and it helped to put me in the mood!

Who of among us haven't had things in our lives that we had definitive plans about? I know I've had several occasions in my life when what I had planned and what actually happened weren't anything close to the same reality. So, reading this book and taking the opportunity to read Bailey's journey as she resolves the way her intended path with the one she actually walks was a lot of fun. Honestly, it usually is when it isn't happening to yourself. Aaaaah, if only life had a way of turning out as well for us...

This was a lot of laughs, well written, great characters you could really identify with...a good read. Enjoy it as much as I did!

One thing I've learned from Christmas books and Hallmark movies: if your family owns a Christmas store, you will be a Scrooge that hates Christmas. The good news is that some family emergency will come up forcing you to run the store and realize that you secretly love the holiday. Oh, and you'll fall in love along the way. While it's a very predictable formula, that's what I like at the holidays. A feel good story with a happy ending.
