I found this to be an OK story. It did not meet my expectation yet it was still a good read. I did not know going into it that it was Christain Lit -- not sure how I missed this fact ahead of time. I was expecting a black woman perspective story yet, other than some dialog, this character could have been any race -- complements to the author for walking that fine line and the ability to make the story relatable to those not in the ethnic/racial group. There were a few turns in the book that were more abrupt then I prefer . . . rushed the story to the next point -- not smooth transitions. Bottomline: if you aren't use to Christain Lit then this story will be heavily 'preachy'.
