Good plot but I had trouble relating to the characters, especially Whitney. Sex was American quick, instant-like so their was little eroticism in the book. For me, the characters were too contemporary which is why I prefer reading historical romances, thrillers, etc.

Imagine "Beaches"...but with a guy...and she doesn't have cancer...and there is no daughter...and you don't cry at the end...and no-one is singing 'You are the Wind Beneath My Wings' in your head while you are reading this book.
