I love all of the books by authors Richelle Mead, Jeaniene Frost and Nalini Singh. Whatever it is, they suck me in and I want to read everything from them. Their writing style is what I want to read non-stop. Nevertheless, I keep running out of books because there is only so many books these three authors can write. I have read plenty of other authors besides my top three including:

  • Karen Marie Moning- besides my top three authors, she is next in line!
  • Christine Feehan- ok, not much interest
  • Lara Adrian- ok, reminded me too much of J.R. Ward in her style
  • J.R. Ward- ok, enjoyed her Black Dagger series
  • Laurell Hamilton- hated her books right from the beginning. I tried reading them since the reviews were glowing. No such luck
  • Nora Roberts- way overrated but ok
  • Kelley Armstrong- ok, not bad, not supergood.
  • P.C. Cast- some books are great, some are just ok
  • Patricia Briggs- way overrated but pretty good overall books. Easy read.
  • Rachel Caine- ok, but very simple reads.
  • Chairlaine Harris- I could not stand her books. I'll probably get torched for this one but I thought her writing was strange.
  • Melissa Marr- Overall ok
  • Keri Arthur- I really liked the Riley Jensen series but the story started repeating itself in later books.
  • Christina Dodd- not bad at all. Too easy of a read. I read the Darkness Chosen books all in two days.
  • Stephenie Meyer- way overrated but did enjoy the Host.

Now, I need suggestions for authors similar to my top three (besides the authors mentioned above). Anyone?????

Very grateful!!

Michelle

Two of the three you mentioned are among my top authors (Rachel Mead and Nalini Singh; I like JAF but hers are not keepers for me).  You've hit most of the other ones I would mention, but you might also try:

Kresley Cole- Immortals After Dark

Kim Harrison

C.L. Wilson

Coleen Gleason- Gardella Vampires (historical paranormal)

Cherry Adair - TFLAC series (not much paranormal to this series none at all in the first books, but thought you might like her writing style)

Keri Arthur - Riley Jensen series

Jenna Black - Morgan Kingsley series (I think this one is getting better as it goes along, didn't like the first book as much as the others)

Kinley MacGregor - Lords of Avalon series

Gena Showalter - Lords of the Underworld series

Lynn VIehl - Darkyn series

I'm going to try Immortals After Dark. I've read some good stuff about the books so I'll try. Thanks for the replies!
