Previously published as "Rosie Dunne".
From the author of "PS I love You".
This story is told mostly thru emails, IM, and letters. Abt childhood friends meant for each other, and all that happens on their way to their destiny..

This is a beautiful tale of friendship and love that keeps the pages turning until the very end. There really is a happily ever after, but sometimes it just takes awhile.

This was such a good book. I was a little taken back when I realized that the entire book are letters, IM's and emails back and forth between the characters. I wasn't sure that I would like it but I had to keep reading and reading to finish, it was that good. Then when I got to the end I was very surprised at the reason it was all letters. A must read!!

Her first book, P.S. I Love You, was better. This was good, but redundant after a while. Predictable. It's an easy read tho.

LOVED IT! Never thought I'd love a book that only consisted of emails and letters, but this book told a wonderful story with only emails and letters and yet you knew everything that was happening in this women's life. I love Cicilia Ahern and can't wait to read the next book.

This has to be one of the best books I have ever read in my life. It's about 2 best friends who stay best friends-forever-and it showcases their lives from the age of 5 to 50. It's not written in a typical manner. It's all letters, emails, instant messages..ect. It's such a great book and very very sweet.

A whole novel with multi-generational life stories portrayed thru letters and e-mails. Gripping and funny! It draws you in and makes you care about the weddings, funerals, feelings and life experiences of all the characters. I missed them all for days I after finished the book.

I love Cecelia Ahern's books and this was no exception. I found the unusual format to be very interesting. A good read.

This is the same book as 'Where Rainbows End' - just published under another name. Great story line told in emails, letters, etc.

Told exclusively in notes, instant message, post cards and email this is the story of a life long friendship between Rosie and Alex. They first meet when theyre seated next to each other their first year in school and become inseparable. From the beginning you can see theyre meant to be more than friends but this is chick lit not romance and things dont happen as they should. Life pulls them apart and brings them together, their paths go off in different directions, they make tons of mistakes but they always manage to keep in touch and share witticisms, heartache and frustration.

The early part of the book was honestly my favorite. I loved these two smart-ass young kids and their banter was quite funny.

Heres Alex trying to describe his first sexual experience to Rosie during an IM (instant messaging) session at school:

Rosie, virgin boy is no longer.

Rosie IMs back: Is no longer than a what? Baby sweetcorn?

What happens is next is priceless and the inflection and accent the narrator gives these Irish kids makes it even funnier stuff.

Rosie and Alex have a fun, witty and easy friendship until the summer before senior year. Then things get complicated and continue to stay that way throughout most of the book. Though humor is always the backbone of the story, things get a little darker in tone as Rosies bright future with Alex doesnt materialize and her life takes a very different path than the one she imagined for herself. We see Rosie through a depression and many a setback but Alex is always there in the background as well as her lovely, supportive family and her hilarious girlfriend Ruby. Alex and Rosie obviously should be together but their timing is always way off and both get on with their lives the best way they can. None of these people were overly neurotic and Rosie was an extremely hard worker, good mother/friend/sister/daughter and I really enjoyed reading about her life.

This book was too long for me but it was witty with truly warm and likable characters you can get behind (unlike most chick lit books) who make stupid mistakes like most of us. It was also surprisingly emotional here and there considering the way the story was told with the emails and all. I can easily recommend this to anyone looking for a pick-me-up.

Good read. Not as gut wrenching as P.S. I love You. Funny, sweet, and frustrating all at the same time. Much like love!

Cute book....not like any I have ever read! It's email/instant conversations are the only dialogue of the book!

Love, Rosie just didn't deliver for me. The story, presented in letters, Instant Messages, and emails, began to wear on me very quickly. The format stunted the character development and half-way through, when I was struggling to get through each chapter, I realized I didn't care a single lick about either character. Nada. I felt like I had been reading a very long newspaper article that gave the facts...and only the facts. I realized I didn't understand the character's motivations or emotional turmoil...for that matter I didn't understand how they were supposedly the best of childhood friends and thus ill-fated lovers. It was a challenge to read... It felt like someone promised me a quick trip around the block but instead.... I'm still in the car...wondering if we are ever gonna get there already??

A quick, fun read told thru email, IMs and letters. I found myself rooting for this couple all thru the book but then I'm a sucker for romance!

A great, laugh out loud book. It took awhile to get past the entire book consisting of emails, instant messaging, and letters but well worth it!

Loved this book! True, it didn't send tears flooding down my cheeks as much as P.S. I Love You did, but it made me groan, gasp, and squeal more. It's terribly sweet and you can't help but roll your eyes (in a good way) at the most embarrassing moments or the slips the characters encountered. A must-read for sure!

Honestly, this book drove me crazy for most of it. It's completely written in "letter" format. Whether it IM's or emails or snailmail letters. It got to be very tedious. The story was pretty good. But it took a really really really long time for it to complete itself. I had to force myself to finish it.

This is an okay book. I must admit it is one of the few books where the movie is actually better than the book it was based on. The book just seemed to drag on after a while.
