Any recommendations for other books/authors that would have that kind of magical/scary/quest story line?  I really liked The Stand too.

How about the Dark Tower series, have you read those?  These are my favorite King books.

Black house is my all time favorite book and you HAVE to read it after the talisman. I think it's the law :)

If you really liked The Stand, then try Swan Song by Robert McCammon.

Imajica by Clive Barker. Excellent book! I just looked it up and it seems some of the paperback versions have been split into 2 parts. Why would you want to spend 2 credits if you could get it in 1 book? Hmm, interesting.

I agree with derbyworld... you HAVE to read Black House after The Talisman!  It's amazing!
