hmm..  i wonder where the nearest Wal-Mart is to work?  we don't have one anywhere near home.  i was hoping Borders would have this out on the table over the weekend since i had a coupon.  :)

ETA: *snort* - there's one less than 1.5 miles from here.  how much was it at Wal-Mart?  maybe i can go tomorrow.

I was at Wallyworld this morning at 6:30am and it wasn't there either. I can't handle going in there any other time. I just put it on hold at B & N instead. I'll pay a bit more but they are worth it to me. :)

I just finished it this morning.  Was able to pick it up at Wal-Greens of all places yesterday evening (it was the sixth stop in my hunt).  I watched the sun come up as I finished the last page.

I really liked it.....WAY better than I thought I would because I have never been all that hot for Phury.  So much to say about all of it but don't want to drop spoilers.

One thing is certain:  J.R. Ward never fails to surprise me!  So many authors fall into the "formula" when writing a series.  Ain't nothing predictable about this one!

PM me if anyone wants to discuss.

Have the reviews not been good?

Well...it's like this. The people who love this series no matter what think it's great, the rest see all the flaws. I do not think its great no matter what so those are the reviews I pay attention to lol

I should be done with it soon.  I could have been done last night but there's that little thing called sleep that I need so I'm somewhat functional at work!

I bought it yesterday and am about half way through. Was tempted to stay up last night and finish it but decided sleep was a better option. So far I like it but getting very annoyed by all the side stories.

I do want to read it eventually.  And if there's a good deal on it at Wal-Mart then I may cave.  But I wasn't all that interested by Phury's setup in the last book - but I'm willing to be proven wrong.  I'm just not a fan of the Scribe Virgin and all of her ish.

Usually the book folks are pretty on top of things at the WM I work at but I think the book vendor is out of town for a wedding or vacation and none of the new books have been put out!   I may have to go in the back and dig through the boxes myself to get this one:lol:   I'm only half kidding:)

When I'm really into a series I can accept a weaker story and not hold it against the whole series.   I wasn't sure I'd like Butch's story but it ended up better than I thought (don't love the female vampire storyline most of the time).

Susan, I heard the Scribe Virgin only makes a brief appearence in this book.

This book was really good!  And, of course, now I can't wait for the next one!  The Scribe Virgin barely shows up; there are so many other things going on!  I can't wait to talk to someone about it:)

The Scribe Virgin is hardly in the book at all. I agree with Keely about so many things going on.
