Has anyone read Lucy by Ellen Feldman? It's about FDR I beleive and it's a contendor on my "buy this next" list. I wanted to know what "real people" thought of it...not just the publicity the publisher sends out. lol.

So...should I get it?

Sorry, Hannah, I haven't read much American HF in years. I hope someone here can help you.

I haven't read this one, but it sounds like something I'd enjoy. I read Feldman's book, The Boy Who Loved Anne Frank, a few weeks ago and I think she did a good job, even though the book is really an alternative history.

Now that I've heard of Lucy and know there's a few copies available, I'm definitely going to give it a try. I love H/F about past presidents and their wives or mistresses, and it will be interesting to see if Lucy can stand along with Mary by Janice Cooke Newman or Sally Hemmings by Barbara Chase Riboud!

The more I think about it I think I will get it. I think it's an alternative fiction as well...I like the sound of the Anne Frank one as well...I'll have to look into that as well.
