Book # 2 in the series. Stayed true to the first book and did not disappoint. This one gives a lot more detail about Ash, the vampire, and his motivation. I liked the way the author wrote in first person from the perspective of both characters.
SUGGESTION: Read book #1 "Passionate Thirst" first. There are many references to the first story and this may cause some confusion to someone new to the series.
I wasn't pleased with this series. The novels seem to be a really poor rip-off of Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake books and the writing was pretty unimaginative. The third book was nothing but one ridiculous sex scene after another and the main character kept waffling back and forth on personal angst issues. The most impressive part of this trilogy is the cover art.
