When author Kate Kennedy escapes London for a remote cottage on the North Essex coast, she hopes to heal from her broken love affair. Soon, though, eerie sounds of doors opening by themselves, shocking vandalism, and smells of musky perfume and damp earth are filling Kate's nights with fear. Yet it may be Greg Lindsey, her landlord's hostile artisit son, and his sullen sisiter Alison, who are playing malicious pranks on her.

But Kate's discovery of a Celtic necklace leads her to believe that the voices intruding on her mind and the strange curses appearing on her computer screen may be connected to something beyond this time and place. And when her dreams leave her trembling over the violent murders of star-crossed lovers from ancient Rome, it becomes clear that she must try to undo the treachery that inexplicably binds her to these restless, unhappy ghosts crying out through tangled strands of time. If she dares ... if she lives.

This is chilling and you'll want to keep the lights on!!!
