One of my fondest memories of being a kid was getting up early on Saturday and Sunday mornings---before my parents did---and switching on the TV to watch old movies. This was back in the late 50s and early to mid 60s. Some of the funniest movies I watched were of Laurel and Hardy. So I really enjoyed this book, which brought back those memories. It was also how I discovered the Marx Brothers.

Laurel and Hardy were so funny they never had to resort to off-color or dirty jokes or routines. Sometimes the simplest thing they did was a riot. This book helped me remember the "kneesy-earsy-noesy' routine Laurel did on some of his films. It was so funny, I often did it when I was with friends. You had to be very coordinated to do it, and part of the fun was when you fouled it up. If you don't find it funny, then.... Well, I guess that's a problem you have. :-)

To watch a video of it, search YouTube for "Laurel & Hardy - Kneesy, Earsy, Nosey" .

Imagine doing this on a bus or in a doctor's office. You'd freak people out. :-)
