Liked this police procedural a lot. Hillary is kinda tough, kinda cool, often sarcastic - she's got quite a lot going on but doggedly continues to investigate the murder. Liked all the characters; some of them are a bit thin but as this is a long-running series I assume Martin gets a chance to flesh them out better. I also thought the pacing was pretty good, a lot of dead ends as they start the investigation and then it begins to pick up. I didn't guess the motive although I thought the murderer had to be pretty obvious. Anyway I enjoyed that little twist. I'll look for more, I think the series is into the teens now.
