I enjoyed this book, I was fascinated by the stories about how various book characters came to have their name, and where the authors came up with story ideas. Hercule Poirot was based on the Belgian refugees Agatha Christie saw around her town, and she made him a fussy, neat freak that was the opposite of herself.

In short blurbs, the author has given background information as to where characters' namees might have come. It is easy reading, and intriguing.
