An excellent reference - beautiful "coffee table" book, too!

My partner really liked this - 10 or so biographies of various lengths. It didn't necessarily make the people into heroes, although you could probably admire. He makes sure that there is a difference in listeners' minds between innovators and inventors (Edison and maybe Fulton being the exceptions).
